UNITAR & Med-Or Advisory and Mentorship Initiative for Somalia’s United Nations Security Council Presidency & Membership

Med-Or, in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), has launched a new advisory and mentorship program for the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to extend support to Somali diplomats at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) during Somalia’s Presidency and Membership.

This international cooperation project, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), aims to further   reinforce the capacity of Somali leadership and institutions to engage effectively in Security Council as well as other multilateral fora.

The programme is designed to provide in depth analytical, legal, technical and communication support through tailored briefings and strategic advisory and mentoring activities.
